Role Description.

A Managing Creative Director at ThreeSixtyEight is a seasoned creative leader who drives teams to do the best, most fulfilling work of their lives. They are born storytellers and secret strategists who work closely with clients and teams to ensure that every brief sparks insightful creative outputs that advance the client’s mission. They are intent listeners who transform complex challenges (both big and small) into wildly inspiring ideas. Our CDs are responsible for overseeing all creative outputs produced by ThreeSixtyEight, championing work that aligns with our point of view. The CD also serves to inspire and manage the entire creative team, including copywriters, art directors, and designers. 

 

The creative director should have a keen understanding of brand strategy + creative development. They should cultivate a powerful + meaningful relationship with the Director of Strategy. A strong connection between strategy + creative will lead to engaging work that actually works - growing the client’s brand while bolstering the agency’s reputation and book of business. In short, our Managing Creative Director splits their time elevating their team - and their team’s work - to its greatest potential.

What you’ll do.

  • Lead + inspire teams to develop award-winning, evocative work that actually works
  • Drive the creative process from concept to completion
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews and regular 1:1s with each creative team member
  • Review work and source talent + provide detailed feedback to creative teams
  • Establish direction, craft guidelines, build presentation materials, and assist with production and delivery when required
  • Cultivate new business + organic growth with existing clients
  • Oversee + lead client pitches, presentations, workshops, and creative proposals
  • Be a gamechanger with a unique point of view, voracious curiosity, and humble spirit
  • Lead submission of work into award categories
  • Routinely promote our values and our work
  • Steer clear of agency bad-habits


What you’ll bring.

  • Confident, open, humble leadership
  • 8+ years experience in advertising/marketing
  • An impeccable eye for design, and the ability to write smart, catchy copy. 
  • Experience with integrated campaign production
  • Experience producing digital experiences (websites, interactive, experiential, platforms)
  • Experience developing brand identities and brand systems
  • Experience with film production
  • Razor-sharp written and verbal communication skills + strong presentation chops 
  • Flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity, even when 
  • An innate curiosity that drives you to connect with others and constantly learn
  • A future-focused mindset and love for technology - the ability to see around corners

Location Requirements.

This is a remote-friendly position with the expectation for working hours of about 8:30-5:30 CT. The candidate should be open to occasional travel as needed.
